A crystal ball was a precognitive tool made of crystal that was a staple of Human popular culture.

It was referenced as such in the Beastie Boys song "Sabotage", in which the singer lamented to the listener that "your crystal ball ain't so crystal clear." (Star Trek)

In 2024, Cristóbal Rios was referred to as "Crystal Ball," by LAPD officer Stauss], who had heard the name wrong, and asked if it was a stage name. When Seven of Nine and Raffaela Musiker sit down in the waiting area of the police station, a man named Francis Puga spoke up, telling them they were in the wrong place to find "Crystal Ball," and that they need to check out Immigration and Customs.
