Sonny Clemonds with guitar

Sonny Clemonds, a country musician

Country was a music genre that originated in the Southern United States.

It was particularly popular in regions such as Nashville, Tennessee, where it was made famous, and it was often played at clubs such as honky-tonks.

Country songs were often about cowboys, alcohol, trains, prisons, trucks, family and the lifestyle of people in small towns and the countryside.

In 1994, a country singer named Sonny Clemonds died due to a lifetime of substance abuse, but he was frozen, and eventually awakened on the USS Enterprise in 2364.

His music, although old; was new to the generation he found himself now in, and as such, he continued his career as a country superstar, and he began performing once again. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")

In 2381, he performed at a concert in which some teenagers were injured in a stampede when they were rushing toward the stage. This was reported on FNN news. (LD: "Grounded")
