Townie was a derogatory term for a local living in a particular town.

In 2255 of the alternate reality, Hendorff asked if "this townie" (James T. Kirk) was bothering Nyota Uhura. She assured the fellow cadet that although Kirk was annoying her, she could handle it. (Star Trek)
