Coagulation

Coagulation or clotting was the transformation of blood from a liquid to a solid. Coagulation could be stimulated by using a coagulation activator or a coagulant/clotting agent, or retarded with an anticoagulant, or by the hematic microrepair treatment.

In 2376, Neelix was having difficulties making blood pudding, in that the blood kept coagulating in the milk when he heated it. (VOY: "Fair Haven")

In 2399, as Bruce Maddox was being treated for massive abdominal hemorrhaging, the hematic microrepair treatment had increased clotting by 12%. (PIC: "Stardust City Rag")
