Vassery and bust of good fortune

Vassery and his bust of good fortune

A bust of good fortune was a gilded bust given by the Ferengi as a ceremonial diplomatic gesture, along with a substantial ceremonial invoice for said gesture.

On the USS Toronto in 2381, Grand Nagus Rom and First Clerk Leeta gave Admiral Vassery a bust of good fortune in his likeness, to open talks regarding the Ferengi application for Federation membership. They noted that they had applied a "friends and family discount" for the bust, "in the spirit of unity." After the talks were completed, Vassery left the bust with Captain Carol Freeman, who put it in a waste bin in her ready room on the USS Cerritos. (LD: "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place")
