Burrhog was a descriptive epithet for Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the script for the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Encounter at Farpoint".

In the script, Ensign Sawyer Markham wondered where the USS Enterprise-D was, especially as under the "old burrhog" the starship was never late.
