Boradis III

Boradis III was the inhabited third planet of the Boradis system. This planet was located in a sector of the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

The first Federation outpost in the system, established in 2331, was located on this planet. The planet had minimal defenses and was a soft target for a marauding warship.

By 2365, three other colonies were present in the Boradis system, and nine other outposts were present in the sector.

In that year, the USS Enterprise-D was on a mission just outside the system to intercept a Class-8 probe which carried special emissary K'Ehleyr. Data and Commander Riker gave a brief description of the system's history to Captain Picard. (TNG: "The Emissary")

In the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), Boradis III was listed as a Federation member in 2378.

In the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Boradis III was located in the Beta Quadrant.
