Beta Penthe system

The Beta Penthe system was a planetary system inside Klingon space in Sector 21166 of the Beta Quadrant. It was a binary star system consisting of the primary Beta Penthe and a companion star, six planets, and the planetoid Rura Penthe. Rura Penthe was the location of a penal colony. The stellar index number for Beta Penthe was 934-83294.

The Klingon Empire maintained a penal colony on the planetoid Rura Penthe for centuries.

Stellar cartography

In 2293, the location of Beta Penthe was labeled in the star chart for the "Operation Retrieve" command briefing. The system map of Beta Penthe was included in the plans for Operation Retrieve. In 2399, the location of Beta Penthe was labeled on a star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")

The stars of the Beta Penthe system were classified as an A-class star and a B-class star. The Beta Penthe system was identified as a Klingon system in a star chart created by Scribe K'Tark in the Year of Kahless 893 (2266) for the Klingon High Council.
