Argeth was an inhabited class M planet that was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. This world was aligned with the Federation in the 32nd century.

It had two moons and a rotation period of 34.36 Earth hours. Its atmosphere was composed of 75.3% nitrogen, 20.75% oxygen, and 1% carbon dioxide. Its surface temperature ranged from −52° to 45° Celsius.

In 3189, Argeth went on yellow alert due to Starfleet intelligence indicating a potentially imminent Emerald Chain move on the planet. Fleet Admiral Charles Vance thus placed the USS Discovery on standby to jump via spore drive to the planet if conflict erupted there. (DIS: "Scavengers")
