Amargosa system

The Amargosa system was a single star system in the Beta Quadrant. The primary of this system was named Amargosa.

History

In the 24th century, the primary Amargosa was studied by the Federation Amargosa observatory.

In 2371, Dr. Tolian Soran launched a trilithium weapon into the star. The weapon, transported by a solar probe, caused a quantum implosion within the star, whereby the nuclear fusion broke down. The implosion created a level 12 shock wave which destroyed everything, including the observatory, within the system. (Star Trek Generations)

Stellar cartography

In 2257, this system's location was labeled on the star chart showing the trajectory of Lieutenant Spock's shuttle. (DIS: "An Obol for Charon")
