Alpha Cygnus IX

Alpha Cygnus IX was the inhabited ninth planet in the Deneb star system. This non-Federation planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant and was approximately 2,615 light years (802 parsecs) from Sol.

The Treaty of Alpha Cygnus IX was named after this planet. (TNG: "Sarek")

J. Lowry Johnson, a lieutenant aboard the USS Enterprise-D, was from this planet. In 2369, their planet of origin was listed on the chart "USS Enterprise Personnel Database", which was displayed on a PADD accessed by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. (TNG: "The Chase", okudagram)

StarTrek.com stated that Alpha Cygnus was the classic Bayer designation for Deneb. [1](X)
