Ancylobacter aquaticus is a bacterium from the family Xanthobacteraceae which has been isolated from lake water in Copenhagen in Denmark.[1][3][4] Ancylobacter aquaticus can degrade 1,2-dichloroethane[5] and produces haloalkane dehalogenase.[6]
