The Protectorate Incapacitator is the improved and upgraded version of the Protectorate Pistol. The pistol visually changes color from the standard protectorate blue to a bright red, changes the gray steel to a darker red on the grip and barrel tip, as well as changing the steel color on the barrel to the gold that is located on the bottom of all the upgrades of the Damaged Pistol.
The Protectorate Incapacitator is the first upgrade of the Damaged Pistol's line of upgrades to require Upgrade Modules. The Protectorate Pistol will only upgrade into the Protectorate Incapacitator when reaching Tier 5 in the upgrade system, in total requiring 14 Upgrade Modules to obtain.
The Protectorate Incapacitator gains the highest increase in damage in the entire upgrade line of the Damaged Pistol, as well as a small increase to the rate of fire. The weapon also gains burst fire, firing 2 shots whenever the weapon is used. It is a solid Tier 5 pistol, but does fall short to a few of the other possible options in the tier. This is not an issue however, because the Protectorate Pistol is the only upgrade locked behind the research tree it is possible to obtain the Incapacitator far before gaining access to other Tier 5 options (those being the Aegisalt/Violium/Ferozium weapons), though it is a costly investment.
