These planets are quite rich in Uranium and are the only place where you can find Irradium, along with gas giants.

Notable Features
Radioactive Soil can be extracted for mass amounts of Uranium. As mentioned above, these biomes/worlds are the only location for Irradium. Trianglium is also frequently found here. Poison pools are scattered about the surface.
