You can make a Metal User quickly by following these suggestions. First, Strength or Dexterity should be your highest ability score, followed by Constitution. Second, choose the Outlander background.

Class Features

As a Black Metal you gain the following class features.

Hit Points

Hit Dice: 1d10 per Black Metal level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 1d10 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d10 (or 6) + Constitution modifier per Black Metal level after 1st

Proficiencies

Armor: light armor, medium armor, heavy armor, shields
Weapons: simple weapons, martial weapons
Tools: Artian's tools
Saving Throws: Strength, Constitution
Skills: Choose 2 from Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Athletics, History, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, and Survival.

Equipment

You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:

  • (a) chain mail or (b) leather armor
  • (a) dungeoneer's pack or (b) explorer's pack
