Instant Fancy Clothes (5e Spell)

Instant Fancy Clothes
Conjuration cantrip
Casting time: 1 bonus action
Range: Self
Duration: Until Dispelled

You conjure upon your body a set of common clothes, fine clothes, traveler's clothes, or costume clothes that replace whatever clothing you were previously wearing (if any) until you dismiss it as a bonus action. This wear can take any appearance you desire, and no matter how outrageously impractical the outfit, it will not impede movement, spellcasting, or any other feature that receives penalties for wearing armor.

If you are wearing armor when you try to cast this spell, it fails. Any piece of clothing created by this spell vanishes into a cloud of ephemeral glitter when removed from its wearer.

At Higher Levels. At higher levels, you can imbue clothes summoned with this spell with abjurative magic. You gain a +1 bonus to your AC as long as you aren't wearing armor while the spell lasts when you reach 10th level. This bonus increases when you reach 20th level (+2) and 30th level (+3).[1]

  1. Obviously, if your campaign isn't using any set of post-level 20 rules, then you aren't going to get this far.
