Medium humanoid (human), neutral Armor Class 21 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Dex +7, Con +10 Hollow Reiryoku. The hollow has 20 Rieryoku which it can expend. All Reiryoku is regained at the end of a long rest. Menos Reiryoku. The hollow has 12 Reiryoku which it can expend on options marked with an asterisk (*) in its archetype. Options marked with two asterisks cost twice as much Menos Reiryoku to use. All Menos Reiryoku is regained at the end of a short rest. Soul. The hollow can only be seen, heard, smelled, touched, sensed, or interacted with by creatures with this feature or objects made of Reishi, though it can interact with creatures made of Kishi normally. Reiatsu. The hollow may spend 1 Reiryoku at the beginning of its turn to release its Reiatsu until the beginning of its next turn, learning the direction from it of each creature within 30 feet and each of their proficiency bonuses. If a detected creature's proficiency bonus is 3 or lower, they take 20 bludgeoning damage. ACTIONSMultiattack. The hollow makes two unarmed strike attacks. Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 bludgeoning damage. BONUS ACTIONSRegeneration (1 Reiryoku). The hollow or one of its body parts regains 16 hit points. This can restore hit points to a body part's higher tiers. REACTIONSHollow Hunger. When the hollow kills a creature that would not be affected by its Reiatsu, it may consume their soul, regaining Reiryoku equal to half the creature's proficiency bonus and causing them to be unable to be resurrected by any means. |
On very rare occasions, one soul is able to subjugate all others within a gillian, transforming the whole into a smaller form of Menos Grande; an adjuchas. Adjuchas are significantly more intelligent not just in respect to their prior gillian form, but even compared to pre-Menos hollows, and it goes without saying that their power outstrips either entirely. This comes with a cost, however: the only surefire way to maintain this state is to regularly devour hollows or to lose a major part of its body. While the latter may sound promising, few choose it as it puts a complete end to their evolution, barring them from reaching the highest form of Menos: Vasto Lorde. |
Hollow Archetypes
Each hollow is unique, though most tend to fall into a handful of classifications:
