Ticketed events are Special Research tasks available to players who purchased a ticket with real money in the in-game shop in Pokémon GO. Story events for those research tasks occur on event days such as raid days with specific bosses or Community Days. The ticket disappears from the player's Bag once the event ends. Players who do not complete the Special Research during the event can still do so later as the research may be altered with alternate tasks less reliant on event encounters.

EX Raid Boss introduction

Those special researches give exclusive access to new EX Raid bosses before they are formally introduced to the EX raid rotation the following month.

A Colossal Discovery

A Colossal Discovery is available to players who purchased a ticket with real money in the in-game shop between October 24 and November 2, 2019.^[1] The story event takes place on November 2, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time. It is a four-part Special Research that, upon completion, allows players to catch Regigigas before it becomes available in EX Raids in December 2019.

Along with the rewards listed for completing the Special Research tasks, players with the ticket can also receive up to 10 additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms during the event period. Ticket holders may also receive event-exclusive Field Research tasks from spinning PokéStops.

A Drive to Investigate

A Drive to Investigate is available to players who purchased a ticket with real money in the in-game shop from March 17, 2020 to March 26, 2020. The story event takes place from March 20, 2020 at 8 a.m. to March 26, 2020 at 10 p.m. local time. It is a five-part Special Research that allows players to catch Genesect before it becomes available in EX Raids in April 2020.^[2]

Along with the rewards listed for completing the Special Research tasks, players with the ticket can also receive up to 5 additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms during the event period. Ticket holders may also receive event-exclusive Field Research tasks from spinning PokéStops.

Starting April 2020 Community Days, optional Special Researches are proposed in the in-game shop for enhanced game play experience. The Special Research that was supposed to be played during the Weedle Community Day in June 2020 never went on sale for reasons unknown.

Investigating Illusions

Investigating Illusions is available to players who purchased a ticket with real money in the in-game shop. The ticket was initially planned to be sold between March 14 and March 15, 2020 with the story event taking place on March 15, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time on the day of the Abra Community Day, but the whole event was postponed worldwide to April 25, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a four-part Special Research.

Players who have purchased the GO Fest 2021 ticket need to play on the first day of GO Fest 2020 on July 17, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. local time in order to receive this Special Research. There is no time limit to complete this research once it has been obtained.

Mischief Unbound is a Special Research that is available to players who purchased a ticket with real money in the in-game shop from November 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. to December 1, 2021 at 10 a.m. This Special Research could also be unlocked for free by finishing the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research before the end of the Season of Mischief on December 1, 2021 at 10 a.m. local time. Those players may also purhase a ticket to complete this Special Research twice to earn double rewards. This Special Research unlocks form change between Hoopa Confined and Hoopa Unbound forms. Trainer can change Hoopa's form after completing the 2nd set of tasks.

There is no time limit to complete this research once it has been obtained. This research rewards a Celebi.
