Sundering (Japanese: 相手に技後防御特防↓ Defense and Special Defense Reduction On Opponent After Move) is a skill in Pokémon Masters EX.
Effect
When the sync pair successfully lands an attack on the target, it has a chance of lowering the target's Defense, Sp. Def, or both by one stat rank. Currently, only Sundering 9 is available on scoutable sync pairs, which guarantees the reduction of at least one stat. The skill applies to both the Trainer's and the Pokémon's moves, including 
buddy moves, but not sync moves or 
max moves.
The skill will act independently of the move's innate chance of lowering the target's Defense or Sp. Def (if applicable). If the Pokémon has access to more than one Sundering skill, each will have a chance of activating independently of each other.
