The Rayquaza and Dragon cards, including the 'Magic Message'
Pokémon Magic Message cards were officially licensed Pokémon cards manufactured in 2006 by Merlin Publishing Ltd. in cooperation with Topps for the Pokémon franchise's 10-year anniversary. The set includes a variety of Pokémon from Generations I, II, and III, as well as characters from Pokémon the Series.
Overview
The set consists of 60 cards, split into two categories - Human and Attack - and further divided into two types of card:
47 Magic Match-Up Cards (also known as Pokémon Cards), each depicting a species of Pokémon, with Human cards featuring a Pokémon belonging to a specific Trainer
The gimmick of the Magic Message cards is that each card is both partially transparent and contains half of a message, with the full message being formed by matching a Master Card with one of its corresponding Magic Match-Up Cards - Trainers with their Pokémon, and moves with Pokémon of the same type.
Cards were made available in booster packs, each containing 4 cards, with booster boxes containing 24 packs each. The cards were published in English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German. The different names of each card are also published on their backsides.
