Pokémon: Discover Paldea

Pokémon: Discover Paldea (Japanese: パルデア再発見 Rediscover Paldea) is a online series of animated shorts released directly on the official English Pokémon YouTube channel. The shorts center on four Paldean Trainers as well as their Pokémon, being Pikachu, Paldean Wooper, Milotic and Hydrapple, taking part in activities from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Each short ties into an event that was active in the aforementioned games at the time of their upload. While not a direct continuation of the series, the shorts share some similarities to Discover Pokémon Together.

Picnic Pandemonium

Summary

The group of Trainers, along with their Pokémon, are gathered for a picnic. The Trainers decide to assemble a sandwich; the Milotic Trainer adds Sweet and Spicy Herba Mystica to the bread as the other three Trainers add several other ingredients, creating a tall sandwich that nearly topples over, worrying the Trainers. However, once the Hydrapple Trainer places a Red Poké Ball Pick, the sandwich remains in place and the Milotic Trainer takes a group photo to commemorate the occasion.

A Flock of Flamigo

Summary

After seeing an image of a mass outbreak of Flamigo on their Rotom Phone, the Wooper Trainer leads their group to South Province (Area Four) to track them down. The group locates the Flamigo flock and each go after a different Flamigo - the Wooper Trainer targets one Flamigo with her Wooper's Sludge Bomb, enraging it. Meanwhile, Hydrapple begins chasing a Flamigo, though it soon becomes distracted by a Pecha Berry, much to the dismay of its Trainer. The Milotic Trainer locates a Shiny Flamigo and aims to capture it. Pikachu also battles a Flamigo, allowing its Trainer to capture it. The Trainers prepare for a group photo, but are quickly surrounded by the Flamigo flock, who proceed to twirl around them before dispersing. Milotic's Trainer takes a celebratory group photo with the other Trainers next to a Dragon-type Tera Raid Battle den, revealing that they successfully captured the Shiny Flamigo.

Tera Raid Team-Up

Summary

The group of four trainers enter a Tera Raid Battle, where they encounter a powerful Alolan Exeggutor with the Dragon Tera Type. They each send out their Pokémon — Pikachu, Paldean Wooper, Milotic and Hydrapple — to battle. Hydrapple cowers in fear at the Coconut Pokémon as its Trainer attempts to calm it. Meanwhile, the other three Pokémon are on the offensive, each attacking the Exeggutor as their Trainers throw their Tera Orbs, causing them to Terastallize. Seeing the strength of its allies, its Trainer performs a heal cheer to support them, though Hydrapple is still hesitant to take part in the battle. The Exeggutor begins to gather a tremendous energy, indicating that there is little time remaining before the Trainers are expelled from the raid. Hydrapple's Trainer encourages it one last time to aid its allies, but the central syrpent is hesitant - however, the other syrpents encourage it, and together the heads fire off a powerful Fickle Beam, defeating the fearsome raid boss. Hydrapple's Trainer captures the Exeggutor, and Milotic's Trainer takes a group photo with the others in celebration of their victory.
