(Japanese: ゴーゴートに乗って Riding on Gogoat) is the fourth episode of the second season of POKÉTOON and twelfth overall. It was first released in Japan on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on October 9, 2024, including English subtitles.
Blurb
Plot
A boy named Julian is leaving for school. He winces from an old knee injury, prompting his father to offer to drop him off, but Julian declines the offer. Seeing some roller-skating kids, Julian feels sad and sits on some steps to catch his breath. Suddenly, a Gogoat appears and offers to carry him, but Julian shrugs him off and resumes walking. The Gogoat keeps following him, and picks him up and puts him on its back, and starts running.
Gogoat races through alleyways, climbing buildings and ends up on the roof. Julian is thrown into the air, but Gogoat catches him with vines and places him on its back gently. Gogoat resumes its walk. Julian admits he didn't want to go to school because of something that happened between him and his friend, and asks Gogoat to take him to more fun places. Gogoat takes Julain through a tunnel and into a park filled with arches of flowers. While Gogoat is running, an Oddish appears in his path, causing Gogoat to abruptly stop and launch Julian into the air.
Julian remembers the incident with his friend, Lucas. Lucas was waiting for him at the fountain, and after Julian arrives, they both start roller skating. Taking a turn into an alleyway after Lucas, Julian turns and sees Lucas stopped in his path suddenly, casuing Julian to fall and get hurt. Julian lashes out in anger at Lucas, but sees that he was holding a Budew that wandered in front of him.
Back in the present, Gogoat has once again caught Julian with his vines just before he hit the ground, and Julian thanks it for saving him. He realizes he has to apologize to Lucas, and Gogoat hurriedly carries him to school. Lucas is waiting in front of the same fountain, and as Julian arrives, he apologizes to Lucas, who apologizes in return. Both of them laugh at each other, when, suddenly, the bell rings, making them realize they're late for school. Gogoat again offers to carry them, and Julian climbs on its back, assures Lucas they can still make it and offers him a hand to climb on Gogoat. Gogoat then starts running, carrying them to their destination.
