Zygarde Agitated (Japanese: ジガルデ、猛る Zygarde, Rage) is the 592nd chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the 44th chapter of the X & Y arc.

Plot

In the skies, Diantha and Malva continue their battle, but Diantha's Gardevoir is easily outmaneuvered by Malva's Talonflame in mid-air. Grinning to see Talonflame excited by the battle, Malva expresses her wish to have Lysandre witness her fight. Elsewhere, Trevor hides from Bryony and her Bisharp, barely managing to escape Bisharp slicing the tree he's hiding behind into planks. Suddenly, the planks turn and surround Bryony and Bisharp; Trevor finds that Croaky used a combination of Mat Block and its frubbles to imprison the two, realizing that Y left him behind to help. At Santalune City, Alexa discusses the story of the ultimate weapon with her sister Viola, recalling that the weapon can be used repeatedly if given enough life forces to power it up. Recalling that the day coincides with the anniversary of the weapon's firing 3,000 years ago, Alexa admits having a bad feeling of what's to come.

Back at Pokémon Village, Emma continues relaying Lysandre's commands despite X's pleas for her to stop. Zygarde launches a Dragon Pulse that finally defeats Blaine and Mewtwo, prompting Lysandre to order Emma to finish the job. X begs Emma to stop again, but Emma simply reiterates that following Lysandre's orders is her job, and she's willingly doing it to help raise money for Cassius. At this, X realizes how he can reach out to Emma, reminding Emma that Cassius always looked out for her even if she couldn't help him with the Pokémon Storage System. X goes over his own past of shutting himself away from fearing the outside world, refusing to come out of his room and believing that he had nothing until Team Flare and the attack on Vaniville Town forced him on his journey. Despite this, he found that not only did his friends and Pokémon not treat him any differently, he also met other people who offered him and his friends help in spite of their circumstances, causing him to slowly get over his fears of the outside. Expressing empathy and solidarity with Emma, X implores her not to turn her back on Cassius and the Pokémon in her life who care for her.

Her convictions shaken, Emma tries to resist Lysandre's next commands, struggling against the Expansion Suit's influence as she falls to the ground in pain from the effort. Arriving on the scene, Cassius thanks X for his intervention before calling out Lysandre, accusing him of exploiting Emma for his goals even if it means killing her. When Lysandre doesn't deny this, Cassius prepares to take Emma home, causing Lysandre to panic; calling out to Emma, Lysandre claims that wearing the Expansion Suit gives Emma power and makes her worthy of living in the new world Team Flare plans to create. Angrily, Cassius declares that Lysandre has no right to destroy and ruin the lives of others, having his Gourgeist destroy the Expansion Suit's remote control. No longer under Lysandre's control, Emma tries to order Zygarde to attack Lysandre, but Lysandre's Gyarados scoops her up in his mouth and tosses her aside, allowing Lysandre to take Zygarde's Poké Ball and put it under his control. With another Land's Wrath, Lysandre sends Emma and Cassius flying.

From above, Y orders Solsol to attack Lysandre, and Solsol bites onto Lysandre's hand. Lysandre orders a Noble Roar from his Pyroar, who roars at Solsol before biting on it and pulling it off Lysandre, but not before Solsol bites the Key Stone off his finger, causing Gyarados' Mega Evolution to revert. Clutching his bloodied finger, Lysandre snarls at Y for stealing his Key Stone, which Y retorts by pointing out that he stole the Stone from Korrina in the first place. Enraged, Lysandre has Gyarados blast Y out of the air with Hydro Pump. Taking a call from his subordinates, Lysandre is pleased to hear that the new plans for launching the ultimate weapon are in place, and uses his Holo Caster to broadcast a final message to all of Kalos, declaring that Team Flare will begin their operation to purge Kalos of those not chosen by Team Flare. While most of the citizenry is confused and unfazed, Alexa and Viola are alarmed by the implication that the weapon will be fired again, until they are approached by another figure.

Back at Pokémon Village, X and Y gather the beaten bodies of their allies. X picks up Diantha's dropped Key Stone from the ground, and Y acknowledges her possession of Korrina's retrived Key Stone, but notes that having multiple Key Stones on hand won't help them at all. Recalling the mechanics of Mega Evolution, X slips Blue's Key Stone ring off his finger, asking Y to hand over the Key Stones in her possession. Meanwhile, the operation at Kalos Route 10 has begun, with the Pokémon stolen from Pokémon Village pressed against the menhirs, writhing in agony as their life force is drained away to power the ultimate weapon again. The Team Flare Admin Chalmers and his colleague look on in unease, but note that the Delphox Malva left behind is calm and collected. They note that with an army of Venomoth and Amoonguss guarding the nearby routes, any intruders would be put to sleep. They call Lysandre, who prepares to head to Geosenge Town, only to be confronted by X. With the Key Stones of Diantha, Blaine, Y and Korrina along with his own, X performs a simultaneous Mega Evolution for his five Pokémon: Kanga and Li'l Kanga, Salamè, Élec, Garma and Rute.

Shocked yet impressed, Lysandre orders another Dragon Pulse to attack X, but the effects of the move are lessened due to Y having Veevee use Misty Terrain to reduce the damage, giving X an opportunity to strike back. At Route 10, Delphox notices electricity sparking through the grass, prompting it to light its wand and prepare for battle. However, this causes a massive explosion to erupt through the field; as the Team Flare Admins panic, a voice declares that the Powder trap laid by her team's Vivillon has been set off by the fire. The team is revealed to comprise Yvette, Alexa, Viola, Clemont and Bonnie, who have arrived to put a stop to Team Flare's operation.
