Eevee-Lu-Tion (Japanese: るーちゃんがんばって! Good Luck, Lu-chan!), is the first chapter of the sixth volume of Magical Pokémon Journey.

Plot

Hazel and Coconut are bickering about the events of Hazel's Holiday, when they notice a bow-wearing Eevee looking at Coconut's Eevee. The two confront the Pokémon, excitedly asking if she has a crush on him. She nervously confirms their suspicions, and introduces herself as Lu. Lu confesses that while she likes Eevee, she will be moving away with her Trainer the following day. She tells Hazel and Coconut that she is okay with simply watching him from far away until then, but the two advise her not to lie to her heart. After Hazel convinces Lu to admit the truth, the girls begin devising a plan to get Lu and Eevee together.

Later, as the first phase of the plan, Coconut sends Eevee to the forest to procure a rare Whirly Plant for her. As he begins to search in the woods, Lu is revealed to be watching him from behind a tree, remembering directions that Coconut and Hazel had given her. Lu then purposefully crashes into Eevee, knocking him to the ground. Nervous, she introduces herself while reading from a script on a piece of paper, then offers to help Eevee in his search.

Afterward, the next phase of the plan begins, involving Eevee finding something Lu has dropped to let her seize the opportunity to get closer to him. Lu repeatedly tosses out objects from her basket, but Eevee is oblivious. Believing she has failed, she then decides to move forward with the next phase, which is to "have some other Pokémon lend a hand." She takes a stick and goes to poke a Venomoth nest in order to do this, but mistakenly hits a Beedrill nest instead. When a Beedrill flies down at her in fury, Eevee rushes in to protect her, giving her the chance to get away.

The two escape, but Lu finds that Eevee is left covered in welts after being stung by Beedrill. She goes to her basket to take out an ointment to tend to his injuries, but accidentally knocks out a Whirly Plant she was supposed to have pretended to find later in the plan. Seeing that Lu had the plant from the start, and that she had purposely poked the Beedrill nest, Eevee comes to the conclusion that she has been making fun of him all along. Lu struggles to respond, then remembers the encouragement Hazel and Coconut had given her. She confesses her love to Eevee, leaving him dumbstruck. She then tells him about her upcoming move, and asks if the two can remain friends, to which he agrees.

Some time later, Hazel meets Coconut at her home to chat about Eevee. A letter arrives from Lu to him, and the two girls excitedly try to get information from him before he shoos them away to read it in private.
