Mew (Japanese: ミュウex Mew ex) is a Psychic-type Basic Pokémon ex card. It was first released as part of the 151 expansion.
Card text
Once during your turn, you may draw cards until you have 3 cards in your hand.
Choose 1 of your opponent's Active Pokémon's attacks and use it as this attack.
Pokémon ex rule
When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art ultra rare card, a special illustration rare card, and a gold etched hyper rare card in the Japanese Pokémon Card 151 subset. The Regular, ultra rare, and hyper rare prints were included in the English 151 expansion. A Jumbo-sized variant of the gold etched print was released in the 151 Mew ex & Mewtwo Special Collection, released exclusively in Portuguese. The special illustration rare print was made into an SVP Black Star Promo available in the 151 Ultra-Premium Collection released October 6, 2023, which also included a metal version of the hyper rare print. The Regular, ultra rare, and hyper rare prints feature artwork by aky CG Works, while the special illustration rare print features artwork by Natsumi Yoshida. The Regular print was reprinted, alongside a new shiny ultra rare print with artwork by aky CG Works and special illustration rare print with artwork by USGMEN both featuring the Shiny version of Mew, in the Shiny Treasure ex subset. Both Shiny Treasure ex print were included in the Paldean Fates expansion.
The Regular print was later reprinted as a non-holofoil in the Japanese Stellar Miracle Deck Build Box, Battle Partners Deck Build Box, and Premium Trainer Box MEGA.
In the Simplified Chinese edition of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, an exclusive promotional variant of this card was revealed[1] in January 2025 as the prize in a series of lotteries, which will be held on the 15th of each month between March and December 2025. For each lottery, only members of the official Pokémon TCG Member WeChat app were eligible to enter upon meeting certain requirements: they must have participated in at least 15 organised competitive events, held across at least three different Gyms or venues, within 151 calendar days prior to each lottery date. Each lottery will draw 151 winners, with a total of 1,510 cards available across the event, and members who win in a lottery will not be eligible to take part in another.
