METAMONG PROJECT is a campaign launched by Pokémon Korea in 2025 which focuses on Ditto. The campaign promotes various Ditto-themed merchandise and foods as well as in-person events. A Ditto-themed song Mong Mong Metamong (Korean: 몽몽 메타몽 Mong Mong Metamong) was released as part of this project as a Korean version to Dit-to Ditto.

One of the project's major events was tied with the annual Pokémon Town event located at Jamsil Lotte World Mall and World Tower which ran from April 25 to May 18, 2025.

Events

Pokémon Town 2025

Lapras and Pikachu-transformed Ditto at Seokchon Lake.

Pokémon Town (Korean: 포켓몬 타운 Pokémon Town) is an annual event held at Jamsil hosting several Pokémon-related events around the area. Unlike the previous year which had featured a large inflatable Lapras and Pikachu model at Seokchon Lake, 2025 featured a Ditto transformed into a Lapras with a Pikachu-transformed Ditto on its back. Pokémon Town 2025 was held from April 25 to May 18.

The METAMONG PROJECT event area close to Seokchon Lake hosted several booths, including a Ditto Fan Club House (Korean: 메타몽 팬클럽 하우스 Metamong Fan Club House) and a swarm of life-sized Ditto figurines. The Ditto Fan Club House was a small house decorated with Ditto-related items. Following the Instagram page for Metamong Project rewarded a Ditto sticker at the Fan Club House.

Players could also receive a serial Ditto code from April 25 to May 18 (at Lotte World Mall World Park) or May 1 to May 6 (from Lotte World Mall Level 2).

Pokémon Town 2025 featured several other events unrelated to the METAMONG PROJECT, including tie-in events with Pokémon TCG Pocket and the Pokémon TCG.
