HP Trade-Off (Skill)

HP Trade-Off (Japanese: ＨＰ低下分威力上昇 Power Boost Proportional to HP Reduction) is a family of skills in Pokémon Masters EX.

Effect

HP Trade-Off raises the power of moves depending on the percentage of HP the user has remaining. The smaller percent of HP remaining, the greater the boost in power. The skill can range from HP Trade-Off 1 to HP Trade-Off 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a greater boost in power. The formula is as follows:

The HP thresholds are as follows:

For example, if a sync pair with HP Trade-Off 5 attacks with 33% remaining HP, the damage will be increased by 1.25×. If the user is at 100% HP, this skill will not activate.

The skill only applies to the Pokémon's regular attack moves, including buddy moves, but not sync moves or max moves.
