Release information

This tag was available as a prize for challenging Ash in Trainer and Battle from the first Double Chain set. Players could select to dispense this tag following the battle regardless of the outcome. A promotional transparent purple version of this tag was available as part of a gift campaign held in conjunction with the Japanese broadcast of an animated series episode on July 8, 2022.[1] People who called the telephone line displayed during the episode were entered into a lottery to win one of fifty prizes—a set of four tags mounted in an acrylic frame. The entry period was open until the broadcast of an animated series episode on July 15, 2022. Winners were scheduled to be contacted in mid-August and receive their prizes by the end of October 2022.[2]

Trivia

Origin

This Gengar is based on Ash's Gengar as it appears in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. An image of Ash will appear in-game when Gengar attacks for the first time. Shadow Ball and G-Max Terror are both moves that Gengar can use in the games, the latter while Gigantamaxed, and ones Ash's has used.
