This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art ultra rare card, and a special illustration rare card in the Japanese Hot Wind Arena subset. The Regular and ultra rare prints feature artwork by Iori Suzuki, while the special illustration rare print features artwork by Kariya.

Origin
Ethan is the main playable character in Pokémon Gold and Silver and is the male choice in Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. This card uses his design from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. The special illustration rare print features Cyndaquil, Pichu, and Slugma, which are all featured as Ethan's Pokémon in the Hot Wind Arena subset.
