This problem started a week back when my Linux suggested to upgrade from Ubuntu 22.04 (working perfectly) to 24.04. The laptop hung up in the middle of the upgrade. I have tried numerous attempts to fix it. NOTHING worked. Now I want to transfer all relevant files to ext. hard disk (/dev/sdb1), and then reformat Linux fresh. How do I do that? Youtube sessions are not helpful. can you help?
