prò (feminine prà, masculine plural pròs, feminine plural pràs)

  1. (European Portuguese spelling) pre-reform spelling (used until 1990) of pro; still used where the agreement hasn’t come into effect and may occur as a sporadic misspelling

Usage notes

This additional use of the grave accent was introduced in Portugal in the Orthographic Agreement of 1945; this reform was not ultimately implemented in Brazil. The Orthographic Agreement of 1990 does not mention such usage.
