  1. (historical) A hungover state of the labor workforce after a weekend spent drinking.
  2. (informal) A Monday on which someone feels gloomy or depressed, especially because of having to return to work after the weekend.
  3. The Monday in January purported to be the most depressing day of the year, typically said to be the third Monday of the month.
