Etymology
Either composed of *bïč- (“to cut, to cleave”) + *-ak (deverbal suffix) or derived from Middle Chinese, potential candidates for such being 匕 (pjijX, “dagger”)[1] or 劈 (phek, “to slit, to cleave”).[2]
