  • Inherited from Old Tupi -e'yma, from Proto-Tupi-Guarani *-eʔɨm, from Proto-Tupian *-eʔɨm.

    Suffix

    -ima

    1. -less; -free; added to a noun, a verb or an adjective to indicate a lack or deprivation of that thing
    2. forms the antonym of adjectives, adverbs, and 2nd and 3rd class verbs
