    1. forms feminine nouns referring to devices and machines, broadly construed: -ery, -er
      стіл (stil) + ‎-ярка (-jarka) → ‎столя́рка (stoljárka)

    Usage notes

    • This suffix does not form the feminine equivalents of masculine agent nouns ending in -яр (-jar) (see category). Such nouns are formed by the addition of -ка (-ka, feminine-equivalent suffix) to the masculine noun in question.
