The particle ču/čü and its phonetic variant şu/şü are documented in Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk and serve as an emphatic modifier to second-person imperatives. This particle is, however, absent from Old Turkic. Cognate with Kyrgyz -чи (-ci), Tatar -че (-çe).
