- A prefect caught a disease. Hua Tuo held that if he flew into a rage, he would recover. He started accepting many of his gifts but did not give him any treatment. Then before long, he departed and left a note to curse him. The prefect exploded into such a wrath that he ordered someone to pursue after and kill him, but his son knew the reason behind it and told the one not to follow his father's order. The indignant prefect vomited litres of black blood, and then he regained health.
