This Invention supplies a want felt by all Chess-players. The "IN STATU QUO" CHESS-BOARD is so contrived that the game may at any period be discontinued, and the board folded and placed in its case without the Chessmen being disturbed. To Tourists and Railway Travellers it offers especial advantages, making the longest journey seem short, whilst, from its peculiar construction, the trouble incident to ordinary Chess-boards is entirely done away with.
