Summary
Spock and Chekov materialize in an unknown location. It's a very well-lit establishment with bright colors and futuristic technology. The two Starfleet officers look around, and Spock says "What is this place?"
Chekov observes some sort of television on the wall, and he looks at it, in complete amazement, asking "Where are we?" A blonde Human female that works their comes up to him and tells him that this is where they bring together the fastest internet and the best in entertainment. This is incredibly impressive to Chekov, and he says "It looks like the future!"
Spock walks toward him, telling him that the Enterprise must have encountered a temporal vortex that hurled them into the future. Spock then admits that he is even more impressed than he expected to be. A male Human gets up from his chair and says "Cool, I'm glad you think so." He then begins to pull something out of his pocket, and Spock believes it is a phaser, and he immediately draws his weapon and Chekov likewise draws his, holding the poor man at gunpoint. He quickly assures them that it's just his phone, which he can use to give voice commands to the TV.
Chekov then says "You can use you woice?" The man corrects him saying "My voice." He then speaks into the phone and says "Watch sci-fi." Immediately a science fiction movie appears on the screen, and it appears to be something heading right toward them, and Chekov says "Brace for impact!" But the blonde girl assures him that it's just a show. Spock then pulls out his communicator to call the Enterprise, telling them that it has been confirmed that they have traveled to the future, and further analytics are necessary. They then beam up themselves and some of the future tech for analysis. The staff of this establishment is somewhat annoyed, and one of them says "That's my phone!"
