Xantoras patrol ship

A Xantoras patrol ship was a type patrol ship utilized by the Xantoras military during the 2150s.

Specifications and Armament

Xantoras patrol ships had a single rear thruster used for propelling through space and are also quite capable of operating within an atmosphere. (ENT: "The Breach") They were both equipped and armed with low-power particle beams that are turquoise in color. (ENT: "The Breach")

While these vessels posed no threat at all to an NX class starship, they were however more than a match for a poorly armed shuttle and even unarmed transport ship's. (ENT: "The Breach")

These ships presumably carried a small crew complement of no more than two to operate. (ENT: "The Breach")

History

During the escape of Enterprise NX-01's Shuttlepod 2 from the surface of Xantoras in 2152, a single Xantoras patrol ship was ordered by the corrupt government to shoot down the Shuttlepod. The patrol ship took a few pot shots at the shuttle as is left the atmosphere, before the attacking Xantoras patrol ship veered off after the Enterprise NX-01 had warned them to leave their shuttle alone. Trivia

• The Xantoras patrol ship was created in CG and is a redressed version of the Bajoran Sub-impulse raider, with some modifications.
• The basic structure remains the same, only the swept down wing tips were removed and two bulky superstructures added on either side of the hull. It is not evident what the latter are useful for. And like the Bajoran Raider, this ship too, is also propelled by a single nozzle, which shines blue instead of yellow on this version of the model.
