Worker bee (32nd century)

The worker bee was an auxiliary craft used by the Federation in the late 32nd century. Similar to its predecessors, it was a small one-person vessel equipped with a pair of manipulator arms.

In 3190, Captain Michael Burnham took a worker bee from the USS Discovery to dislodge debris that was preventing an escape vessel from leaving Deep Space Repair Beta Six. However, the craft was struck and destroyed by a chunk of frozen methane before she could complete the task.

Worker bees were also carried within Federation Headquarters. (DIS: "Kobayashi Maru")
