Work hours
Work hours or business hours were the times in which employees were on the job at a place of employment.
Rom's employment contract for Quark's stated in "paragraph seventy six, subsection three. Employees of Quark's Bar and Holding Company are strictly prohibited from leaving the work environment during business hours unless ordered to do so by their employer. Any failure to comply with this provision will result in severe fines and possible dismissal." According to Rom, it was "a standard provision in all Ferengi labor contracts." (DS9: "Bar Association")
In 2377, Annika Hansen informed Kathryn Janeway that Quarren labor protocols prohibited fraternization during work hours. (VOY: "Workforce")
