Wiley (formally known as John Wiley & Sons) is a New Jersey-based publisher specializing in academic, educational, scholarly, and instructional books, journals, and digital material. In 2013, as part of its Wiley Pop Culture and History Series, it published Star Trek and History.

In 2006, Wiley acquired UK-based academic publisher Blackwell Publishing [1] and maintains Wiley-Blackwell as a publishing division, under which brand was published The Ultimate Star Trek and Philosophy in 2016.

In 2013, Wiley sold over 1,000 of its pets, crafts, and general interest titles, including Star Trek and History, to Turner Publishing. [2] Turner continues to publish these books under the Wiley name. [3]
