A wet floor sign was a type of sign that brought a person's attention to the danger of slipping and falling due to a freshly mopped floor.

According to an anything but canon account, an ensign on the USS Enterprise was running down a corridor of the ship, trying to get to the bathroom as fast as he could since he had space diarrhea. He then failed to notice the wet floor sign, and slipped on the freshly mopped floor. Spock played this incident on a blooper reel at a party for First Contact Day. (VST: "Holiday Party")
