A waxworks figure was a lifelike sculpture of a Human made from wax.

In 2267, Doctor Leonard McCoy, upon examining the Trelane-frozen bodies of Kirk and Sulu, compared them to waxworks figures, as they gave off no lifesigns. (TOS: "The Squire of Gothos")
