Veil Nebula

The Veil Nebula (also known as Cygnus Loop) was a supernova remnant in the Alpha Quadrant. This nebula was visible from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus and was approximately 2,400 light years from Sol.

An image of the supernova remnant was on display in Astrometrics aboard the USS Voyager in the year 2374. (VOY: "Year of Hell")

The picture was one of several pictures, displayed in Astrometrics, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
The placement of this nebula in the Alpha Quadrant is inferred from the location of astronomical objects associated with the constellation Cygnus.
Information on this nebula was derived from the episodes and real-world sources. The real-world information added to the article was current as of 2025.
