Val Sasha

Val Sasha was a Human who lived in the 32nd century. She was raised in a colony on Titan and learned how to pilot a spacecraft at the age of twelve.

In 3190, Sasha joined the first cohort of cadets to attend the newly reopened Starfleet Academy, which was the first time she had met any non-Humans. After two months at the Academy, she was selected by Doctor Kovich to participate in a team-building exercise led by Lieutenant Sylvia Tilly, along with fellow cadets Taahz Gorev and Harral, and Ensign Adira Tal. Their mission was to conduct a full planetary analysis of Geryon, for which Sasha was assigned the microbial component.

En route to Geryon, their shuttlecraft UFP-11 was disabled by a rogue gamma-ray burst and crashed on Kokytos. The group had difficulty working together until they had to cooperate to save Tal from parasitic ice and Tal revealed that Harral was the son of an activist who opposed the Emerald Chain. They were then able to evade a Tuscadian pyrosome and contact the USS Armstrong for rescue. (DIS: "All Is Possible")
