Ultrasonic cannon

An ultrasonic cannon was a cannon-type weapon that used high-frequency sound waves to incapacitate targets.

Survivors of the Gorn attack on Finibus III in 2259 reported a "loud ringing sound" prior to losing consciousness, which Lieutenant La'An Noonien-Singh suggested to be the work of an ultrasonic cannon. (SNW: "Memento Mori")
