US 6th Army

The US 6th Army was a United States Army command army responsible for the administration and support of all units assigned or attached under its regional operational control. In 1986, the US 6th Army was headquartered at the Presidio in San Francisco, where it was responsible for training reserves in the Western United States.

That year, a corporal visiting the Cetacean Institute in San Francisco wore a uniform that bore the insignia of the 6th Army. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
