USS Sarek

The USS Sarek was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet.

The Sarek was part of the task force sent to retake Deep Space 9 in 2374. The Sarek replaced the USS Cortez in formation when the latter experienced engine trouble. (DS9: "Favor the Bold")

This starship was only mentioned in dialogue.
The Sarek was named for Vulcan Ambassador Sarek. (Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 251)
According to StarTrek.com and Star Trek Scene It?, the Sarek was an Excelsior-class starship. [1](X)
